From Christine (Kambic) Neary:
Frank & I doubled with Melinda (Greenwood) Stacy & Pat Burke (he went to M-A). We drove a brand new black Thunderbird that my uncle "borrowed" from the local Ford dealer (he worked there, & that was common practice), and before the night was over, Frank backed it into a tree! What fun!

The Freudian Slips

Slips

— Memories from Linda Walnum —

"The band started out in 1965, I think. We started out playing folks songs when we where sophomores, Then Teda came along... but I think It was Wendy's idea to start a band, from the info in old news clipping I have. Our first job was a private New Years Eve party, although I don't know where or who...then it was Life magazine in July of 1966.

"We played all over the Bay area: Davis, Berkley, the Matrix in S.F. the Red Balloon in S.F.; even for the Florence Chrittenton home for unwed mothers (An all girl band?? What was that, join a band don't get pregnant?)

"We tried out at the Filmore but didn't get the job — if I recall, Santana was there the same day (maybe they got the job, ya think?) We played with Moby Grape, Janice Joplin, Sons of Champlin, The Sparrow (Canadian group). We were also on T.V., on a few local S.F. programs: Gypsy Rose Lee, John Bartholomew Tucker, and a program called P.O.W. We also played at the Ark in Sausalito for about three months — it was an old ferry boat, and I remember it leaked when it rained! Ah, the good old days!

"Teda Bracci was the drummer, Mimi Bluford and Wendy played keyboard and bass, Linda Walnum played the guitar (if you can call it that!), Gayle Hayden had moved to Hawaii with her parents in Junior year and never rejoined the band.

"The papers sure got a kick out of interviewing us, although some of them were not too kind!"

— Linda
